    Hi,

    I’ve installed multisite with subdomain, the subdomain https://email.example.com/ was working very fine. The subdomain explains about email and its like blog (unlike mail.example.com for site email) it was working very fine.

    Then I installed “WP Mail SMTP”, Network activated it (because all subdomains will have to work on it); then settings of “WP Mail SMTP” at each subdomain was done.
    I’ve several subdomains like
    – blog.example.com for this subdomain I’ve used support@example.com as my SMTP email address .. tested it worked well (true).
    – wp.example.com for this subdomain I’ve use dev@example.com & tested it worked well

    and I was trying to setup SMTP for email.example.com which had articles (like blog & other subdomains) this subdomain was not used for mail ( eg: mail.example.com )

    Later this subdomain email.example.com showed 500 error while all subdomain and main website was functioning very well. I checked my .htaccess and confirmed it is not problem of .htaccess file ..

    Guys may be you’ve the answer for this strange problem..
    after installation and setup of this plugin the email.example.com multisite subdomain stopped working .. (I don’t have access to hosting other than current hence I couldn’t test it on my own)
    but guys I need help

    Perhaps, strange wildcards rules, like *mail.example.com. But the 500 status code is not about that.

    Have you checked PHP error_log? Most likely the answer will be there. I assume you are not using PHP 5.2 and have upgraded to v0.11 of the plugin.
