Translatable (custom) post type description

We’ve migrated from WPML+Types to Polylang+Types but are having trouble translating Custom Post Type Descriptions. We’ve set the post type translatable in the backend and also added pll_get_post_types functionality. When debugging we see the type being correctly identified as translatable, however we’re unable to see fields to translate, as they all seem to default to the standard language.
