Just started building a new site and thought I’d try SS3 for the first time. However, I’ve created the slider and looks great in the “preview” section but for some reason when I put the shortcode in either the page or the script, it just shows a blank placeholder on the front end. Any ideas? I’ve tried deactivating all other plugins but still not working.

Hi @orangeoak!

The </head> closing tag is missing from your theme, probably from the header.php file. Also please make sure, that you have wp_head and wp_footer functions in your theme, where you see written here:
https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/262-empty-space-where-the-slider-should-be#missing-wp_head()-or-wp_footer()-callings
because these are used by plugins to call in their files and I can see our css file there, but I can’t see the js file, so I think the footer code is missing.

Hi @orangeoak

Something seems to be wrong with your theme, as your page source (right click on your page -> view page source) doesn’t have the </head> tag, so our files are not called in.
