  • You wouldn’t lose the posts if you are using the same database info and the same $table_prefix in wp-config.php.

I reinstalled wp 2.7 with different folder and upload/replace them to the 000webhost server. But i got more than 1000 queued file/failed transfer. And the date is still shown the old modified. i can’t get today’s date. Yesterday i did 777 permission to all public_html files. I think that’s how i got screwed up. pls advise
i still have 404 Error: content not found on my homepage

In additon, I always have the below error messago on LIFESTREAM ERRORS:

exception ‘LifeStream_FeedFetchError’ with message ‘Error fetching feed from http://ymywdirect.com/?feed=rss2 (A feed could not be found at http://ymywdirect.com/?feed=rss2)’ in /home/a5109633/public_html/wp-content/plugins/lifestream/_lifestream.php:727

    Pls help

Your posts, pages, categories, tags, user, and comments are kept in your MySQL database. Before doing another thing, learn how to backup your database. See WordPress Backups to learn how to backup both your database and files/folder and do that now!

Then I would consider following Steps 7 and 8 of Upgrading WordPress Extended. I know you aren’t upgrading you need to reupload as it doesn’t seem like you have correct files and file permissions.

Review Uploading WordPress to a remote host

Thanks for showing me the backup lessons. Easy, straightforward. Thanks for your time!

i deactivated all plugins. When i was about to reload a new one, i refresh my screen. My website is back. So I identified which plugin gave me the “404 Error nightmare”.

Finally, I caught the error came from “wpClassified 1.3.0-h The wpClassified plugin allows you to add a simple classifieds page in to your wordpress blog By Mohammad Forgani.”

As soon as i removed it, my home page is back. If i ADD it back, the 404 page screen is back. Please do not use wpclassfied plugin!
