Long wait time for processing order

    Hey there,
    When I try to place an order for my site (which uses WooCommerce and Stripe payment gateway), it takes around 20-30 seconds after I clicked “Place Order” for the checkout details page to emerge. I tried deactivating all plugins beside Woocommerce and stripe, and this still happens. I even tried changing to a simple theme and trying this again but it still occurs. How can I go about in fixing this long wait time for processing orders?

    Hi there!

    I’m glad you already tried looking for conflicts with your theme and plugins. The next thing to look at would be the hosting plan you’re using. It may not have enough power to make your site fast. I recommend contacting your host and upgrading your plan.

    I tried contacting host but they said my plan should be fast enough to handle everything… I also tried it on another website with the Stripe plugin and a different hosting and there’s still the same problem with the Stripe having a long processing time (~10-15 seconds). What solutions am I able to seek in solving this issue?

    Have you asked someone else to try and test this for you?

    This strikes me as something related to your device or internet connection rather than Stripe, that is the common denomiator.

    If you have Stripe in test mode, I’d be happy to take a look at this for you and try from my side?
