WordPress 2.7 loads in 0.464 seconds before tuning and in 0.339 seconds after tuning.
It all depends on how many plugins you add … causing more JS, CSS and pics on our pages, causing slower pages.
Average user CPU usage for the 24 hour period is 7.15 percent.
Average system CPU usage for the 24 hour period is 1.70 percent.
So total CPU usage is less than 10 percent.
That 10 percent can quickly become much more, depending on what you add.
WordPress version 2.84 has very serious CPU usage problems, after the “upgrade” I had a 10x spike in cpu usage and server load with no change in any variable other than the upgrade itself. Take a look at this graph showing the enormous server load after upgrading to 2.8
