Try clicking Save before you switch between HTML / Visual.
I cannot seem to locate the “use visual editor” option in 2.7. Is it there?

The tabs HTML and Visual are not responding at all.
Disable all plugins and add one by one to see which one conflicts with modes

Thank you, mercime, I can now find the “use visual editor” option (after re-uploading the wp-includes folder – I think some of it didn’t get uploaded maybe a timeout occurred that I didn’t know about on the first uploading of wp-includes)
I will start disabling plugins one by one and report my findings…

I have once again completely re-uploaded the js folder in wp-includes and can now toggle between visual and HTML.
The whole problem was due to an error I made in uploading the updated version of the wp-includes folder (It’s pretty remarkable that the blog worked at all, considering the number of files that were missing!)
I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that the problem is simply user error. But very relieved that things are now working correctly. No need to disable any plugins….

(In my search for the solution, I did come across the rather useful plugin “WP-Tuner” and ascertained that there is nothing wrong with my custom theme. Yay.)
Thanks for this, it really helped deactivating the plugins. Seems like i got an older version of the kimli flash uploader, that generated the error. 🙁
Same problem here, no solutions so far, i will try to instal again wordpress and see if it will work. If anyone finde some solutions pls let me know.
