• I had to migrate to new servers suddenly. I had a Cpanel backup of my site which appears to have migrated everything correctly, but I get this error and can’t access my site or wp-admin page.

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.
Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I am also using Wordfence and wondering if that may be a factor.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,
Create a backup of the existing .htaccess file & erase the original file. You can always regenerate it by visiting Permalinks.

Check whether it works after deleting the .htaccess file. If it doesn’t try contacting your webhost for a solution.

    Hope this helps.
    Good day!

Nope, doesn’t work. Contacted web host and also Wordfence support. Thanks, though.
