• Wonder if anyone has had this problem.

I’ve noticed that my backlinks are missing from my blog at
    http://www.sustaingreenpower.com
I let it go for a while just assuming it was one of the
    usual quirks with WP.

Well today I noticed that my Stats plugin was Inactive.
Plugins de-activate themselves from time to time, understood.
I re-activated the Stats plugin, it asked for my WP API.
I entered it and WP warns me that that API belongs to me.
    Duh.

It asks that I add this blog to my WP.com account or replace
it in place of another blog that is already registered.
Strange, this particular blog was already registered before.

So I click the drop-down menu to see if maybe I want to
replace another blog. WP says the blog in question is not
registered, but low and behold, this blog is included on the
list that shows from the drop-down menu.

Supposedly, if I replace a blog this way, the newly added blog
should inherit the stats of the one being replaced. Well, since
the blog I’m working with is already on the list I figure if
I pick that blog to replace it with then my stats will be re-instated
or whatever. So, I replace my blog with the same one that is already
in the drop-down list. I check the stats, and it shows nothing.

So now all my Backlinks are mysteriously Gone, and my Stats are
mysteriously gone also. Bad thing is, I paid a reputable company
a Lot of money to help me build backlinks through article submission,
posting, PR, etc. A HUGE chunk of money is now wasted.

Of course, I understand that Stuff happens. So, mainly I just
would like to know if anyone has any suggestions of what may
have happened so I will know what to do in the future.

I can always start building backlinks again, but I would hate
to have all my efforts and money go to waste once again.
