    Hi!

On the list of IP’s blocked is always my own IP on top of the list. (this week 1339)

    IP/Action:

    Blocked for XSS: Cross Site Scripting in POST body: headers=HTTP/1.1 200 OK\x0d\x0aServer: nginx/1.7.12\x0d\x0aContent-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8\x0d\x0aStatus: 200 OK\x0d\x0aLink:\xea

In the docs I read things about ‘How does Wordfence get IP’s’ but am reluctant to add my own IP and would like to ask advice first.

FYI No other error messages. Not behind reversed proxy. Tried deactivating/activating. ‘Scan for How does wordpress get IP’s’ give no problems.

    Any advice?
    Thx,
    Tanja

  • Hi @tlei,

This could be caused by a plugin attempting to save a value.

In the front-end, do you see anything indicating that a feature (related to a specific plugin) isn’t working properly?

Have you identify which action causes this block?

Alternatively you could try and disable plugins one by one in order to identify the culprit.

In case you already which action/plugin is causing this and if you’re absolutely sure that the request is safe then I suggest you temporarily switch the firewall status to “Learning Mode“.
