• Trying to tighten up the padding or space between the TOP MENU and the logo-header. I’ve tried changing paddings on various elements, but still no success. I’m a low-intermediate WordPress user. Spacing looks ok on mobile view, but on desktop screen looks huge.

    Dear Donna,

    thank you for choosing Bento!

There’s a logo padding setting in the “Site Identity” tab of the Appearance – Customize section of the admin menu, but I can see that you’ve already edited the padding by inserting custom CSS. In case the question is still topical though, please let me know 🙂

Yes, this is still a problem. I believe it is the padding related to the top menu NOT the logo/header.

Thank you for responding so quickly.

    Hello Donna,

I’m not 100% which padding you have in mind – could you please make a screenshot of how it looks on your machine, indicating which space you are looking to reduce? Thanks!

    Sincerely,

    Yes, here is a sceenshot:

I used red arrows to point to the padding I’m referring to.

Also note problem with the top menu line wrapping to two lines. I’m following the other thread where this is being addressed. Still no solution that I’m aware of to default to hamburger menu rather than allow menu to wrap to two lines.

    THANK YOU! ! ! ! ! !

    Dear Donna,

the menu height is calculated automatically and is needed to make other elements of the theme work as intended. Please try shortening the wording of the existing menu items and/or removing some of them into submenus – that way the entire menu will fit into a single line even on smaller laptop screens.

    Sincerely,
    Andrii / Satori Studio
