• So i have some problems with the plugin.

    1. First of all translations still doesn’t work, i talked about it two months ago:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/translations-doesnt-work/
    – still no luck…

    2. I check one of my clients database and after two months of using UAM wp__codeneric_uam_events weights 700MB! There’s a lot of unecessary data saved and by saving time, ip’s and unique users info it creates new queries, that slows down website A LOT while at peak times.

I know there’s a premium features for optimizations but as for now free version is quite freemium, just like i said before(https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problems-with-plugin-12/). Btw. even for paid plugins it’s not cheap :\

    3. Last thing – can i clear codeneric_uam_events table, or does plugin gets data to display from it?(i mean views, clicks etc.)

    Hi,

    1. Thank you for translating the plugin into Polish! The translations will be incorporated into a release in October. I apologize for the slow progress regarding this topic.

    2. + 3. The data is not unnecessary, it is used to answer all kinds of queries. If you clear the codeneric_uam_events table you will lose your statistics. The optimization is a premium feature because of mainly two reasons. It is not a trivial task to optimize the database with respect to the users preferences (https://codeneric.com/blog/docs/ultimate-ads-manager/database-optimization/), thus, we are happy to receive some money for our service. And more importantly, small websites can survive without any optimizations, since they do not have a lot of traffic.
If your client does not want to use the premium extension, you could delete old entries in the events table. This will of course alter the statistics.

    – my client just need those numbers. Does clearing codeneric_uam_events table will alter this data?

Yes, if you delete entries in the table the numbers will be altered (decreased).

    Thank you.

Any chance, that this might be changed in near future?

For example i’m using WordPress Download Manager on my own website and it have it’s own table for stats too. But even if i clean it’s table then downloads/views are stored differently, means i can keep my database clean and my numbers are intact.

I imagine, that every time numbers needs to be showed it counts rows and it’s columns from database, which is slow for large databases(in my case 700MB for single table).

I’m trying to persuade my client for premium version, but i’m wondering if actually it will do something about that kind of large tables even with optimization options.
