• I installed the current version of MLF. The layout was messed up and I couldnt disable the floating tree, and I couldnt see all my 17000 files in my 2017/09 folder in MLF so as per the advice in this forum, I uninstalled and manually installed MLF ver 3.45.

I still cant see all my 17000 images(76000 wordpress images) in the 2017/09 folder. I tried the reset database plugin twice. MLF is only sowing approx 2000 files in this 2017/09 folder on the screen. I cant scroll any further down on the screen – I am at the bottom of the MLF scroll, and there is no Next button.

Am I doing something incorrectly, or is this because I am running PHP 5.3 (and cant change it) or is there a version of MLF that will work for me or ?

Yes, we have never encountered a site with 17,000 images in a single folder. MLF does not yet have the capacity to handle that.

And yes, the PHP version is important. MLF will not work on on out of date versions of PHP. WordPress now recommends using PHP 7,but 5.6 does work fine.

Thank you for your quick reply. I am in a catch 22 situation here. My existing oscommerce site can only have php 5.3. I am trying to update by going to woocommerce. I am desperately trying to work with the wordpress system here. wordpresss arbitrarily puts all the images into this one folder. If MLF cant help me to correct this – in your experience, can you please advise any other options that I might have ? After the time I have spent on this new site, I cant give up because of too many files in a folder…. At this point I dont know which way to turn….Is there some other plugin, some other option I can do, or should I just ignore the fact that I have 76000 wordpress images in one folder ? Should I email you privately on your domain http://alanwpdev.com/ to discuss options ?

I tried the sync option in MLF and it started seeing more images, but it was then adding a duplicate image to my 2017/09 folder (like it was importing it ….) making the situation even worse. I will wait for your reply to the above…
