AMP Newspaper Theme missing ads, comments

    I recently purchased the AMP Newspaper theme and everything is great except:

    1) The ads entered into Advanced Ads do not show in the theme
    2) Comments also do not appear in the theme
    3) It does not allow me to change the color of the header and footer

    Other than that, it looks and works great. Unfortunately, until the ad issue is fixed, I can’t use it 😕.

    Hi mrdolan6060,

    I’ll just jump in to help you with #1 since you mentioned my Advanced Ads plugin.

    All AMP plugins (including AMP for WP) strip invalid code from the site. If your ads are using any scripts (like AdSense does), they will be removed as well. This is a great feature since the ad codes would not work anyway and create incorrect code.

    With the Responsive add-on ads are converted to the correct AMP format automatically. I listed some more limitations and tricks for ads on AMP pages in this manual.

    Please update the theme. We have added the Ads, comments, and ability to change the header.

    Marqas, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I do not see an update for the AMP theme on your site (just version 1.0)
