    When a member inserts a text version of an URL into an ostensibly plaintext field (description)- they get this displayed!

    http://&lt; ;a target=”_blank” href=” http://www.treclasses.com&#8221; ;>www.treclasses.com< ;/a> – (class schedule, usually in Tigard/Beaverton area).

    And the links are not clickable, either.

    Whatever script you have trying to rewrite the textarea, it’s not behaving very well.

    Why not the WordPress editor for the description field? That would make life much easier.
