Track certain files

Hi Jason

remember not so long ago I asked how to track PDF files and you helped with fantastic info, I have a similar issue but can’t figure out what file type for Youtube videos.

I want to track when someone downloads a youtube video from my site.

Is this done in the same way ? if so how can I find out what file type to try. I have tried mov , flv , mp4 and m4v , but so far its not shown any downloads, so i suspect its a different file type or there is another way
