Bulk add custom field?

    Hi,
    I have been using your great plugin (just custom post types so far) but after a few months I want to add a custom field. I created a custom field with select option and of course I can do it one by one.
    But the problem is I have about 1000 posts. So here is my question:
    Is it possible to bulk add/edit a custom field ?

    Hello @dominmax,

    Do you have 1000 custom post types and are looking to add the same fields to each one of them or 1000 entries in your CPT ?

    If it’s the latter, then you should use the Default Value box that you can see when you edit a field. This will allow you to set a predefined value for that field.

    Hello Georgian,
    To make it clear – I have 1000 posts about 50 cities. One city have about 20 post.
    I would like to use custom fields e.g. to choose different background for different posts. I have 20 different jpgs like beach.jpg, bike.jpg, traffic.jpg, cousine.jpg…
    So I would like to have a custom field where I select the correct option for every post. Then I will have e.g. 50 posts with bike.jpg attached.
    Is there a way to do it for many posts at once? Like attaching category on the list with bulk edit option?

    Hello @dominmax,

    Unfortunately no, you can’t do this from the interface, since we don’t have bulk edit of cpts available.
