Custom sidebar for specific categories

Hi there,

I am wondering how I can create a custom sidebar for a specific Category. For example, I have a lot of “posts” on my website but they are NOT blog posts – they act as content for the website in a non-blog style. But, we are starting a blog, and so we want the blog to look like a blog e.g. with an “archive” and “recent post” sidebar.

I downloaded a plugin that can help do this – Content Aware Sidebars.

However, it seems like the Minamaze “Blog” Theme Options override anything I want to do. If I select a sidebar on the “Blog” options – it shows up on ALL parts of the website that are categorized – I don’t have a way of selecting which ones. Can someone help? Thanks!
