    I installed the latest free version of this plugin and added the slider in my home page using the php code.I included the slider just below header using the code <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[recent_post_slider design=”design-4″ dots=”false”]’);?>.But iam getting only a blurred black screen at the specified location.I have tried changing the designs without luck.I also installed other plugins like Trending Post Slider and Widget.But it was also not working.I am using the theme wellington.Even though slider is not working,i enabled it so that you can check and find the problem.My website-linuxloves.com

    Thanks for reaching here.
    Please put below css in your theme’s style.css file

    .recent-post-slider {
    float: left;
    width: 100%;
    }

    I hope, it should be work.

    This problem returns after updating to version 1.3.1.Given solution has no effect on the page.I had to rollback to version 1.2.8 to fix the issue.Is there any way to fix this on the latest version? Will future updates again lead to this issue?

    I have already mentioned the link in the problem at the top of this page. My website is https://linuxloves.com. I’m currently running version 1.2.8. If needed, i will update to 1.3.1 so that you can see and troubleshoot the issue.I have a suggestion regarding the image used in the background of the slider.It was better if i could set a separate image instead of the featured image.Featured image of the posts often have smaller sizes and aspect ratio and looks blurred in larger displays.What is the optimum size of the featured image to be chosen so that the slider looks good in most displays?

    I have upgraded the plugin to latest version.But I’m facing another problem along with the above mentioned problem also.My homepage(where the recent post slider is) is taking more than 1 minute to load.I have tested this with versions 1.2.8 and latest and the problem remains.There is no problem with other pages.I have tried disabling cache plugin and cloudflare cache.I also tried accessing the homepage through different devices and different browsers including chrome and firefox.The problem is independent of the browser. But,I have noticed that the homepage loads extremely faster while using vpn addons.Also,the page loads faster in google and pingdom speed tests.Google pagespeed test asks me to ‘Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content’ in ‘https://linuxloves.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-responsive-recent-post-slider/assets/css/slick.css?ver=1.3.1&#8217;.This may be a hint to the solution.

    Hi @basilky,

    Thanks for your response.
    I have checked your website and found that it is giving 522 Bad Gateway error while loading the main Jquery file. Please refer below screenshot

    The error is like this
    Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 522 ()

    It looks like there is something Cloudfare or Cache plugin issue while loading site content. Can you please verify it form your side?

    In chrome for few second slider comes and after that it starts giving error of 522 on web console.

    I solved the slow loading problem and updated the plugin to latest version.The issue still remains with the plugin.Sometimes it shows only a small arrow on left side of the page and sometimes the page is unstable.In any cases,images are not loaded in the slider.

    My style.css still has the line

    Hello basilky,

    I guess there is something cache issue. So please clear all cache and check it again Or try to deactivate wordpress cache plugin and then check. It should be work.

    The issue is not with the cache plugin.I deactivated my cache plugin (WP Fastest Cache) and deleted the cloudflare cache and enabled development mode in cloudflare.The issue still persists.The plugin works without any problem if I rollback it to the oldest version(1.2.8).I still have the latest version enabled in my homepage so that you can find the issue.

    The slider doesn’t have problem on the mobile site.Issue is only with the desktop site
