Custom plugins folder and CSS not loading
-
Hi,
ran into funky issue when I moved the location of the plugins folder from
/sub/content/plugins/acfhere/css/global.css
to
/root/other/plugins/acfhere/css/global.csskept getting console error in ACF Free that two of the main css not found, even though could load via browser, no caching plugin, force clear chrome cache, etc.
Only way I could fix this — after trying uninstall, reinstall, deactivate, reactive, resave permalinks, etc. (and the path is explicit in the wp-config obviously, or would not work at all …).
Simple fix was just switching to one of my dev licenses for ACF Pro — which did the dbase update, and everything worked right again.
Not sure if this is bug, or simply something to do with ACF Free getting out of date with the latest WP version, etc.
I resolved it by just switching to ACF Pro, but kinda funky thing which only happened when I moved location of the plugins sitewide to lock down write priv in main WP folder.
Worth auditing the ‘paths’ reading of free version on next revamp to be up to date with PRO version.
Only posting here vs sending you support ticket, in case anybody else rungs into this with custom folders in a special setup (e.g., running WP in sub folder, with assets in another subfolder).
