    Hello,
If I click outside of the popup box (the dimmed area) to dismiss the pop-up, it keeps coming up on other pages until I click the small close button.

Is there a way for the plugin to acknolwedge the user doesn’t want it to pop up again when the click outside the pop-up area.

If I click the close button the pop-up does not pop-up again.

Something else I noticed: if the user clicks the pop-up, it does not dismiss the pop-up. The pop-up will appear on the landing page linked in the original pop-up.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @@grahamcrichton:

I apologize for the delay in responding back.

You want to enable the ‘overlay layer’ to allow users to close your popup. The overlay layer is the darkish screen that appears behind your popup content in the browser window.

From the WP Admin, open your popup ‘Get The Brochure’ and select ‘Edit’.

In the Popup Maker Admin, scroll down and find ‘Close Settings’ >> ‘Click Overlay to Close’ and select the checkbox.

If the popup keeps appearing on pages other than https://www.grahamcrichton.com/weddings/, then you need to check your Conditions in the Popup Admin. You should set a condition for that popup to ‘Page:Selected’ >> ‘weddings’. [Be sure to update your changes, or they’ll be lost.]

I notice that your popup has two cookies set, ‘On Popup Close’ and ‘On Popup Open’. For your situation, you only need to set one cookie. I would go with ‘On Popup Close’.

You also need to edit your ‘Auto Open’ trigger to synchronize the ‘On Popup Close’ cookie with the trigger. Edit the ‘Auto Open’ trigger and add this term into the ‘Cookie’ input field: pum-26363.

That should do it. Let us know how things work out.
