    hi,

My site seems to be sending out abandoned cart emails only some of the time.

My site has two admins, me and someone else. She’s had a reminder email after abandoning her cart, but i’m unable to get the site to send me one.

I’ve tried multiple different email addresses in anonymous browser windows, carrying out the same behaviour each time, (placing an order, filling out all my details, being transferred to paypal and then closing the browser window).

When i look at the list of abandoned orders my email addresses are only sometimes captured by your plugin and sometimes not, even though the purchase-then-abandon behaviour is identical.

Whether my email address is captured or not, I still don’t receive a reminder email.

The template is active and the cron jobs seem to be running, since my co-admin received a reminder just fine.

    any ideas?

    Hi,

If you will place an order then our plugin will not consider the cart as abandoned. The same cart will not be displayed on Abandoned Orders tab.

If you have placed an order for today’s date and again try to abandon a cart using the same email address then our plugin will capture the cart. But after cron time has been run, the cart status will be changed to “Abandoned but new cart created after this” on abandoned orders tab for the same cart and we are not sending the abandoned cart reminder email to the customer if the cart status will be “Abandoned but new cart created after this”.

I would like to explain to you that how we are capturing the abandoned carts:

Abandoned cart lite plugin captures abandoned cart of logged-in user and guest user (non-logged-in user) and visitor carts.

For logged-in users, carts are tracked from the time when they add the first product to their cart. However, guest user carts are tracked after the user enters the email address on the Checkout Page.

For visitor carts, we are capturing the guest cart info (without email address) if the user goes to the cart page after adding the product to the cart.

    Regards,
    Chetna Bhutka
