Connection refused:

    When trying to setup the email I add my own server info. I get this message:
    Checking your settings
    Sending Test Email to dmcintire@higgfd.com
    Email Status : Not Sent
    —————————————————————————————-
    Debugging Output :
    —————————————————————————————-
    * OK ***** ******

    (the * are my server info)

    If i change it to use the php(mail) function it says the email is sent but I never get it.

    If I do a connectivity test it shows all socket status of Close. I know they are open because my email is working normally. I am stuck so not sure where to go from here. Thanks!

    This is a very common problem, usually caused by outbound SMTP blocking by your ISP, e.g. GoDaddy does this.

    Please check back with your host if they are blocking outbound SMTP Connections.
