Meta Description Wrong in Source Code

We are using Yoast SEO to manage our sites titles/meta descriptions.

The meta description is showing up incorrectly in Google.

Upon farther inspection, the meta description in the Yoast plugin is not being pushed to the live page. Inspecting the source code shows that there IS a meta description, but it is not the description from the plugin (it does match the meta description from the previous version of our site).

There are NOT multiple meta descriptions when the source code is read, there is only one on the page, it is just incorrect. The source code also indicates that the meta description is coming from the latest version of the Yoast plugin, which we just updated to.

The theme does not appear to create its own meta descriptions.

So, is there a reason that this would be happening?

Oh, and we’ve updated the meta description and tried it again, even after emptying the cache there is still no correct meta description.
