Looking for advice on theme

Two years ago, we had our WP site worked over by some “professionals,” and while we like the look of the site, the functionality is less than spectacular.

The basic problem is that the “Pros” used a bunch of custom code and CSS that does not seem to be extensible in any way. I can not add extensions like calendars (and expect them to function) native WP navigation is defeated, and from what I can tell SEO sucks!

I would like to take the site back over and am looking for template advice. Goals for the front page are:

1. Fullscreen, responsive, looping video background
2. Graphic Icons floating over video
3. Logo on frontpage over video

Basically, I would like to maintain the look of the front page, yet regain the tremendous extensible nature of WordPress. I don’t mind paying for a template if it meets the goals.
