Creating empty products from empty rows

I’ve got an issue that’s been popping up since your last update.

The XML form we use to update our pricing information has some meta data a few rows below the list of products. So, whenever someone imports a new XML, the plugin seems to import the empty rows and creates a few empty products. Since the products aren’t in any category, they don’t actually show up on the live site, so it’s only a minor inconvenience for me going through and cleaning them out every once in a while. I’ve asked the guys to try to delete the meta data from the XML before importing, but since there’s so many forms they use, and a few people doing the importing, it still happens from time to time.

So, is there any way to tell the plugin to just not important information from empty rows?
