When using multiple plugins, including Adv Ad, that require users to register ..

I’ve been creating a membership site with a membership plugin. After users register via this plugin, they’re linked to Buddypress for their profile pages.

Now I’m considering to add another plugin to create a separate group of users (advertisers) for my membership members to view and respond to. But the problem is I’ve tried 4 different plugins and they all have the same problem – after their users register, their profiles also show up in Buddypress just like they’re part of the membership from the membership plugin, which also mean they can easily private message each and every members via BP, which is a no-no.

Your Selling Ad add-on is my next try. In fact, I’ve been exchanging email with your support. The reply I got from your support rep in this regard was,

“Should not cause any problems. Advanced Ads ads a user to your system. Your membership plugin works with the same user data and adds their membership level information to their accounts.”

That reply was understandable but did not seem to clear the cloud.

Just because they “works with the same user data” so when Selling Ad user data gets to the User system at Admin, every plugin seems to be able to get to it, including Buddypress. The key here is Buddypress, not the membership plugin, as i described in my initial question to your rep and in this post. At least this is what happened to all 4 other plugins I’ve tried so far – i.e. after their users registered, their profiles automatically showed up in BP.

Allow me to make this clear, this is not to discredit any info / assistance from your rep but rather hoping the plugin author himself can help me understand why your add-on can be immune from this problem that I’ve witnessed from all 4 other plugins?

Because if Selling Ad can indeed avoid this problem, then at least I’ve solved 1 of the 2 concerns I have about Selling Ad.

The other concern is I use Stripe as my membership plugin payment gateway and if i also use Stripe as my Seling Ad payment gateway, so 2 plugins both using Stripe at the same time on the same site, will that create any problem.

So far I can’t get any clear answer on this one, not even WooCommerce themselves. Hopefully someone can provide some insight especially if you’ve had the same situation before and know how it would turn out.
