    In case anyone is struggling with XML sitemaps, to save you a bit of time.

    I couldn’t get the Yoast XML sitemap to work so I tried a few others none of which I could get to work. That is they gave errors in Google Search Console when submitted.

    But I did eventually find one that worked ok: produced by https://xmlsitemapgenerator.org/

    It’s quite simple one that just produces one xml file that Simply Static copies (add to additional urls) without any problems and Google Search Console finds no errors.
