Newbie Question New Themes and Javascript

    I appended a form of this question to a resolved issue and I was unsure whether anyone would see it.

    My issue is this:

    I uploaded a new theme (Inanis Glass 1.2), which went smoothly. Under my Glass folder, I have subfolders of Images and JS. The theme is there but is obviously not picking up the JS.

    Advice from another kind user suggested placing this:

    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”wp-content/themes/mythemes/js/jquery-1.2.6.js”></script>

    (making changes to the files names, naturally) in the main index.php

    My question is where? I apologize if this is an elementary question but I’m sure it has an elementary answer. Any suggestions you could make would be appreciated.
