The easiest way to ensure that subscribers do not post is to require login. You can do this via the plugin by enabling the setting, “Require User Login”.

Glad to help. Deactivate the plugin and check your error log. It will tell you exactly what happened.

Ask your web host how to view the site’s error log. Then look and see the actual description/reason for the 500 error. That will tell us what happened. Also make sure to deactivate the plugin to prevent further errors.
