    Hi
    The problem is clear.
EDD did not protect files download path over cdn (self-hosted) networks.
when user triggers the download button, EDD shows the direct download link.
I’ve tried some htaccess tricks to fix that, but didn’t worked.

  • When files are hosted externally the best EDD can do is provide customers with an expiring URL. It’s not possible for us to truly hide the location of the files since there is not a way for EDD to control the access to that CDN.

    Thank you Pippin,
i think “an expiring url” must be enough and it’s better than nothing.
so, how to provide an expiring url for CDN files?

and i found a addon for hiding files through CDN, but is’t in Persian.(this means there is a way to hide direct links in CDN)

EDD will provide an expiring URL by default. All you need to do is paste the URL to the file in the “Download Files” section of the product edit screen.

When EDD sends the purchase receipt, the download links will be expiring URLs.
