Password Reset Loop

Hey Team,

I have an issue when asking for a password reset. The original form asking for email/username works, the email arrives.

But upon clicking the link, I return back to the form asking me for username/email, and the loop continues.

It doesn’t ask me to set a new password.

Hi @camcajs,

Please make sure you have the latest 1.3.88 version of the plugin installed.
Do a conflict test to rule out theme/plugin conflicts and see if this issue goes away.
Please see our doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure.
How to do a plugin/theme conflict test?

Hey UMS,

I am using the latest version as mentioned above, with WordPress 4.8.1 (updated automatically since I posted).

Here is a screenshot with No plugins (except UM) and Twenty Fifteen Theme.

As you can see, I’ve just clicked the email link, however as you can see, it’s taken me back to the Request an email page.

Hi @camcajs,

Have you done a conflict test?
This issue can be caused by theme or plugin conflicts.

Hey UMS,

As I said above, the test was done on Twenty Fifteen Theme, with no plugins enabled except for UM 1.3.88

Hi @camcajs,

Can you please check your Password reset page and make sure that you have [ultimatemember_password] shortcode there, also check access settings of this page it should be accessible to logged out users.

Your login page should be also accessible to logged out in users.

As you can see here, the password reset page has the shortcode, and is opened to everyone:
