I have a basic contact form on my front page in a widget area. It has always worked since I started the website a few months ago. Then I added another page and added the form in a div at the bottom. When I went back to the front page it displayed the shortcode instead of the from, although the form still appears on the additional page. After messing with it for a while I decided to duplicate the form and use it on the front page, but the widget still just shows the shortcode. Any idea how to fix this?

NEXT DAY: I changed the text widget to a Ninja Forms widget and it works now, but it had been working for months with a text widget. If somebody could explain what messed it up I would appreciate it.

By default, WordPress doesn’t process shortcodes in text widgets (though some very popular plugins enabled this functionality). Some recent changes to WordPress core may have altered this behavior, but no changes were made on the Ninja Forms side regarding shortcode rendering.
