I am working on my categories and everything was put in correctly however i got this and all of this was done.

The text contains 1 word. This is far below the recommended minimum of 150 words. Add more content that is relevant for the topic.

The focus keyword ‘Bracelet’ does not appear in the SEO title.

The focus keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy. Make sure the topic is clear immediately.

A meta description has been specified, but it does not contain the focus keyword

Then while working on my bosses blog today I got something similar but it was much more. It went from that including the pictures and a bunch of other things, I have the most current version of Yoast as well as the most current version of Woocommerce and WordPress as well. What could be causing this it just started happening in the past 2 to 3 days.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the post! We would like some more information and have responded to each issue below.

Are you using a pagebuilding plugin such as Visual Composer? We ask as Yoast is only able to scan content inside the WordPress Editor area: https://pasteboard.co/GD4Y7yG.png

Keyword not in SEO Title or Meta Description

    • Can you confirm Bracelet appears exactly in the meta description and in the SEO title?
    • Are you using a pagebuilding plugin such as Visual Composer?

    Keyword not in First Paragraph
The keyword not in first paragraph warning is often thrown out as there is an html element, code, image, or whitespace around the keyword which is affecting Yoast’s ability to scan for it. Alternatively, there may be another element that is actually in the first paragraph position. We ask that you please look around the keyword to see if there is something in the way. If there is try moving the elements around to see if it will resolve the warning. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/warning-focus-keyword-not-in-first-paragraph/

Additionally, if you believe your post has been written well for your target audience and moving elements around may result in a poor user experience, we would suggest ignoring the warning. Google will still be able to scan the source code and index the content. Indeed, you should never move elements around or change your focus keyword just to get a green dot. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/want-green-bullet-wp-seo/.

However, this doesn’t mean that Google and other search engines won’t be able to see it, so if your first paragraph does contain your focus keyword, you can safely ignore this warning.

No, i am not using a page builder the only things I have as plug ins is woo-commerce and Yoast.

The only place i am having this happening on my category pages. The seo seems to be working fine on my product and posts page.

However, the same thing is happening on my bosses post pages on a different site altogether and his is just a blog site. Again no page building plug in their either.

Yes, bracelet appears exactly as it is supposed to in all the spots it is asking for the keyword including the alt tags for pictures.

If you know for sure that your content includes more than 1 word, the focus keyword includes in the first paragraph of the copy, SEO title, and meta description and on image alt tag, you can ignore the Yoast SEO analysis report as this won’t affect your site ranking in the search results.
