Javascript in Footer widget?

    Hi I want to use some javascript code on my blog, I have seen it work on other peoples blog, but it dos not work on mine, running out of ideas, hope someone has the answer.

    This is the code:

    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.1profitring.com/webring.php?u=richrock”></script&gt;

    Oh, I don’t get any errors just an empty space where the java box should be
