GZip Compression

    Hello,
    If the “Gzip” option is selected, does this plugin create a compressed and uncompressed version, or just a compressed version of the cached file?

    WFPC creates only uncompressed version. The gzip works on the server side.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but depending on your server the Gzip/Compression option could actually increase page load times by increasing server response time, would that be a correct assumption?

    An html file has approximately 30-40Kb. If compression a html file increases the server response time, what about the compression the images?

    I assume that would increase the server response time even more. I’m not sure I understand your point though.

    I mean that it does not increase the server response time. Don’t worry.
