• Hi

I’ve just updated one of my sites to 4.8 and now see this at the top of the admin page (though not the live site).

call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘vecb_save_options’ not found or invalid function name in /var/www/vhosts/mysite.net/httpdocs/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php
Installation failed: Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘vecb_save_options’ not found or invalid function name

I can’t install any new plugins either as they fail with that error as well.

Any ideas as to what I can do? I’ve tried re-installing 4.8 which appears to install but that error remains.

    Olly

  • Reinstalling will not help, there is either an incompatibility in a plugin or your theme.

    Hello,

I would deactivate all the plugins one by one and see if that fixes the issue. When you find the plugin that causes the problem, you can replace the plugin with a similar, contact the author plugin to fix the issue or just delete it.

    Thank you

I started getting this error too. It came right after installing the Jetpack by WordPress.com plugin. When I deactivated Jetpack, the warnings went away, and when I reactivated Jetpack, they came back. I don’t know what the solution is as I haven’t looked into it, but just thought I’d mention that there seems to be some kind of problem related to the Jetpack plugin.
