changing to ProductGrid or productCarousel does not make any difference
Loading that page over http:// cancels the warining (and raises a new one) but also does not display any product.
root keys or user keys do not work. The user created as in instructions has a permission issue I can read in the IAM console: Unrecognized services: productadvertisingapi
I think the problem it is from the Amazon plugin. I read that they are fixing it now.
It did not affect my websites but some of clients are using my theme and they got the same issues and when i tried my keys, the shortcodes were working.
Probably. I ended up with manual links and I think I will leave it like this, getting rid of the plugin.
I’m having the same frustrating problem, I tried individual item links, that’s not working either. very disappointed in this Amazon product, not like we can get a refund though:) Amazon, PLEASE fix your plugin
Have you ruled out any other plugin interfering with the amazon link builder? In most cases a third party is the culprit.
Thousands of other users (including me, running it on two websites) are not having your problems, so it’s safe to say that the AALB is working correctly.
Cheers

did not tested. I was frustrated that I could not see a single error message or find a debug mode at least to try to understand why it happens like this… I found faster to build manual links and just copy the HTML into page.
Anyway I soon discovered that perhaps placing links from more stores would be difficult to do via the plugin. So I guess I will stick with the manual method.
Try this : http://webservices.amazon.com/scratchpad/index.html
1-Click on Itemsearch link in the sidebar
2-Insert your keys >> Click on “Run Request”
And See if the message is asking you to register your keys or no.
You affiliate account email and password must match your AWS account details.
Thanks, good point. All my credentials appear to work just fine. At least this is going well…
Dear Richard,
We have used the same set of ASINS but that’s working for us. As we can see, in your shortcode, the default apostrophe “‘” in the shortcode has been replaced by custom editor or other plugin to “’” which is causing the issue in rendering.
Cool. Thanks. I have to see why the apostrophe gets changed…
