how to edit permalink in wp2.7

    in the old version of wp, if you use your postname as permalink, and if your post name is very long, you can edit it and make it short.

    but in wp2.7 i can not find any permalink editor, so if i use
    /%postname%/ as my permalink and if my postname is very long, i can not make it short.

    can anybody explain it for me?

    The permalink that you edit is called the “slug,” and it’s located just underneath the post title, after the post has been saved.
