Usually, the <body tag is in a themes header.php, but editing code should be your last resort.
What is it you’re trying to accomplish?
right, so my next question is where to find the themes header.php.
I have a code snippet from Amazon that they say to install in your footer but then they also say to put at the end of the body tag of your site template.
I really need a click A, then B, then C set of directions to find the right spot, but everything I find says to work in “editor” and I don’t have an “editor” on my dashboard.
If you don’t have editor under appearance (and that’s a GOOD THING), use FTP to find your theme. HOWEVER, if you edit a theme, your edits will be lost when the theme updates. That’s why I’m asking what it is that Amazon wants you to add, because there are probably plugins that do it properly.
it’s a script to redirect readers from Canada and UK go to their regional amazon sites so i can get $$ from those sales, too. <script src="//z-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/onejs?MarketPlace=US&adInstanceId=ffe55201-bffd-4500-8b61-1524956e9fff"></script>
After some checking around, in settings i found “WP insert code” and put it in the footer there. is that Okay?
I have no idea. Does it work?
FamiliesGo–I am looking to add Amazon UK and CA code as well–did you have luck? I am not sure where to even find my body tag code on my site in order to add the html code tag Amazon sent me. don’t really want to add another plug in to my site.
@lettyski, please start a new forum post for your issue rather than jumping into an existing, old thread. Thanks.
