    @motherofchaos3 – Can you please try the “as-is” slider? The image does scale down, but it is set as a background and the way that happens is not working out for your particular image. Go to Appearance > Customize > Front Page and choose As-is Simple Responsive Image Banner (No Parallax) for the banner option. Hope that helps and let us know how it goes.
