    Hi, I’m new here.

Hope I could get help for the problem.

I wanted to change the header image.
    I go to theme>customize>Header media>add header image

I uploaded the image accordingly and proceed next page for cropping.
It shows only a text “image crop area preview. Requires mouse interaction”

I’m using computer with mouse. However my uploaded and selected image doesn’t show up for me to crop or edit. Checked on the library and it was uploaded.

Please help me to resolve this problem. Thank you!

Just to confirm what you did…

    1. Go to Appearance >> Header
    2. Go to the Header Media tab
    3. Click the “Add New Image” button
    4. Select your image to upload, then in the lower right, click on “Select and Crop”
    5. Click on “Crop Image” and then once it’s done, you click “Save and Publish” at the top of the customizer?

So if I understand correctly, the image does not show in the cropping window, but only a blank space with only “Image Crop Area Preview. Requires Mouse interaction” ?

Did you install any third party plugins?
Also, what is the size and file size of the image you are wanting to use?

I have exactly the same problem – except that all of my hundreds of images have vanished as has the site formatting – trying to get the header back was stage 1 after trying several default themes, all of which had the same problem.
It used to be fine, moving it to a new host via a Vaultpress back up seemns to have caused the problems.
