• So I have w3 total cache, cloudflare cdn, autootimze, and all images on my site https://www.game-chan.com have been compressed. My desktop site loads fully in about a second or 2 max, but the mobile usually takes around 5 seconds to full load which I want to shorten.

This mobile delay has actually slowed me down a lot, and I am sure some of it has something to do with ssl but I am keeping it (flexible ssl). It should be noted that after first load mobile becomes instantly responsive and loads quickly for return visitors, it is my first request that is slow.

All help appreciated, whether advice or plugin suggests. Hug.s

  • Hello,

As far as I can see from inspecting your website and speed tools everything works as supposed to.

Fyi https://www.game-chan.com/ loads in under or arround 3s from all my pcs / mobiles / tablets as well depending the browser ( as each processes the page differently ).

In any case my goto plugins on 90+% of the installations that I do are WP Super Cache ( with the PHP settings ) and Autoptimize.

I manually compress images and minify my resources even before Autoptimize handles them.

The ‘1st visit’ extra delay that you are experiencing might have something to do with your servers settings. I have seen it happening on some nginx based servers that have problems making proper requests between apache-nginx. I don’t want to get out of my head here though as I’m not qualified for server-side things it’s just my experience.

From my point of view at least your website works as supposed to, after that it’s a machine matter.

    Best regards,
    Konstantinos
