@howdytom,
Thank you for your valuable feedback! It really means a lot 🙂
The only downside is language support. I’ve spent a great amount time creating my own .po language file. You’ve to double check for new strings as soon as a new version published. Make sure to backup before you upgrade to a newer version.
You can start using WordPress to manage your translations. Just visit here – https://translate.wordpress.org/ and select your language. Then start translating Email Subscribers in your language. This way you don’t have to manage translations at your end with each release.
Can you let me know in which language you are interested for translation?

German language file.
I’ve noticed that there’s a new translation since v.3.2.1. Unfortunately 2016 there hasn’t been a completed German language file. Thus, I’ve created a heavily personalised German *.po/*.mo translation myself. I don’t want to overwrite my translation file.

@howdytom,
German language file.
de_DE (German Deutsch) or nl_NL (Dutch Nederlands).

Since v3.3.1 there is a new translation available for de_DE.

You can import your current translation here.
That way you don’t have to manage translations at your end.

Go to /your-wordpress-setup/wp-content. Create a new languages folder if it doesn’t exists. Then paste your translated po and mo file of German language there. That way your translation won’t be lost on every update of Email Subscribers plugin.
Let me know if it works for you.
