• I just got my newest blog up and running, but now this new update comes out. Should I upgrade yet, or wait?

I am only using 3 plugins: the all in one SEO pack, another wordpress tracker plugin, and google xml sitemaps.

I am also using the Tarski theme thats only got a few small customizations. Has anyone else with a similar setup successfully upgraded? If so, was there any trouble, should I be aware of anything?

    Many Thanks,
    Jason

  • There’s been a few reports about site slowness with the sitemaps plugin.

The best thing to do is make sure you have a backup of your data. If you have a backup, then you can upgrade. If you upgrade and find problems, then you can reload your backup. The codex will show you how to back up.

ccnews – You should also read the Extended Instructions for Upgrading WordPress to 2.7 – a lot of helpful information there for someone not familiar with the upgrade process. Make sure you follow the directions carefully and I don’t think you’ll have a problem.

    Just finished the upgrade…

…thank you WordPress and all of the people that make it such a powerful blogging platform.
My upgrade went perfectly. Sure there were some smal issues that i already anticipated. But I realy dig the new admin interface, it is sooo slick. All of my plugins work as far as I can tell. I can still add and edit posts and ages, so i’m a happy blogger once again.

Thanks again to everyone that works so hard to keep WP pimped out ot hte max 🙂 Also thanks to the authors of the plugins I use.
