I run WordPress and a car hire theme from bizz themes, I am trying to change the year as the month has passed (ie: changing May 2017 to May 2018)

I do this by going to pricing and choosing the date to edit, I can usually just over type the Year ie: change 2017 to 2018 – so clients can book for next year.
On one of my websites this is working correctly, on another this is not working at all! it look as though the d/m/y format is broken (the popup)calendar also looks different) I have tried checking the d/m/y to no avail.

If I click on the date range (showing a format of: 2017-04-01) it throws up a silly year and wants to accept the format: 04/01/1901

I have over 1,500 prices and run this script on multiple sites, you can imagine the headache I am having.
    Date Error
Also I noticed that the date picking calendar looks different:

  • Since your issue is with a commerical theme, you will need to contact the theme’s developers for help.

In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why a commercial theme or plugin is not working properly.

Ultimately, the vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

Hi Jacob, I have contacted them but looking at their support there are queries that are 6 months old, even though I have paid for the theme, they are no longer offering any support 🙁

Sorry to hear that. Unless someone here has experience with this exact theme you might have trouble finding specific help though, but there’s some things you could try.

You mention that it works on one site, but not another. Compare each site, and see where there’s differences. Do they have the same plugins installed? Are they on the same version of those plugins? Is WordPress on the same version. Try disabling plugins one by one, and checking if it works. If it starts working then you’ve found the culprit and can either contact its developers for help, or just leave it disabled.

If I had to guess, a theme or plugin is installed that’s started loading a calendar widget in a recent update (possibly even the same one but a different version) but it’s conflicting with the version your theme is using. If it’s a non-essential plugin you could replace it with one that doesn’t cause the conflict.

Hi Jacob, with your help I have found and fixed the problem. I had also installed a booking widget for Bike Hire, this was the only plugin that involved a calendar! I have deactivated it and the pricing calendar for Car Hire is working correctly!

Thank you, your suggestions saved me a lot of time and headache! Kudos!
