  • Hi @siriusalpha,

This appears to be a bug affecting older versions of PHP.

Could you please confirm which version of PHP you’re running?

    • Go to the Wordfence Tools page
    • Click the Diagnostics tab
    • In the Other Tests section, click the link that reads “Click to view your system’s configuration in a new window”
    • Check the value for PHP Version

    Hi,

thanks for responding and sorry for the delay, warm weekend 🙂

php version is 7.0.9 which is new enough or?
could it be somtehing with file permissions?

    Hi @siriusalpha,

Indeed, this is most likely permissions related.

I focused on the second error message (errno 9): Bad file descriptor when it could actually only be a consequence of the first error Access is denied. (code: 5).

Please make sure the user the web server runs as has sufficient permissions on the folders mentioned in the error messages.

read rights were needed on the domain root folder, not just the wwwroot…..

    Hi @siriusalpha,

    Thanks for sharing this.

I’m glad you managed to get Wordfence up and running on your site!
