    Hi

I just installed Primer theme on my Godaddy WP hosting. In the theme, there is a “call to action” area in the header but after installation, it is gone.

I can not create a similar area with the page builder tool – header is off limits of the page builder.

I have tried to find answers on Google but only solutions seem to be custom CSS, which I believe is not the solution.

  • Hi @juriw,

The call to action is actually a widgetized area on your site. You can add widgets to it from the Widgets page on the dashboard (found at Appearance > Widgets).

Within the widgets list you should see a “Hero Widget”, which would allow you to add a title, some content and a call to action button exactly how it’s setup in the demo.

Additionally, if you open up the customizer (Appearance > Customize) – or from the homepage, while logged in, click the ‘Customize’ link in the admin bar at the top of your screen – you can navigate to your widgets in the customizer and add the appropriate widget (or any other widget) from there.

Let us know if that helps, or, if you’d like I can provide screen shots outlining the process.

Super! I was able to locate the social icons for the footer in the widget section as well! Thanks! 😀

One question regarding the Hero text. Is it possible to float it right without using CSS?

    Hi @juriw,

    No problem at all!

As for the widget, It’s not possible to float the text right without writing some custom CSS. We don’t have the options built into the widget. It shouldn’t be too hard to do so using some basic CSS. Are you familiar with writing custom CSS, or would you like a bit of assistance with that?

    Best,
    Evan

@eherman24 Okay thanks for the quick reply 🙂

I know CSS, and I will manage this small styling. I’m building it for a friend which is not a developer so I would have preferred if it was possible to do without any custom styling.
