WordPress adding (-2) to ALL pages with numbers!
-
Hi all,
I’m sure someone will correct me pretty quickly on this one and more than likely me missing something totally obvious!

Initially I created a page with 2017 as the name which instantly added -2 to the slug. I have had this before so checked the trash, images, attachments and checked the database through phpMyAdmin. Nothing. I can’t understand how or why it’s adding -2 as a suffix when it’s the first?
I decided to do a fresh install and got the same result. I then did a fresh install on another online server through cPanel installer for speed – same result. I’m sure in the past I have been able to use numbers as page urls without this issue…
I can create any number on any of the 3 WordPress installations and always the same. Such as:
2017 (will become 2017-2)
7364547283756 (will become 7364547283756-2)You name it. Any number will always add -2. These are all brand new unaltered installs.
Can anyone put me out of my misery on his one please? Am I missing something?
Thanks
Nickat
