I don’t manage to replicate this on my test website. I’m assuming it could be an WordPress option, or maybe an Apache or PHP setting …
Could you possibly give me access to the website where you’re experiencing this problem? Or maybe quickly set me up a test website on the same server? That would be very helpful in order to debug this.

I think there is a code somewhere, whether from a WordPress option, a plugin or a code snippet, that puts an additional htmlentities on save.
Anyway, it should be working correctly now.
